Here’s what we had to say about our trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History:
- “In our group we got to touch copper in the rock room.”
- “We got to touch a real shark’s tooth and skin.”
- “We saw giant dinosaur bones. It was the length of the WHOLE room!”
- “We got to see a lot of insects.”
- “In the forest room we got to learn about forest animals on screens. We learned that some people chop down trees and we need to help the earth and save the trees.”
- “In our group we talked a women who works at the museum and she taught us about rocks that change colors.”
- “We got to go on a scavenger hunt for extinct animals. Our group found them all! The Dodo bird and the Grey Wolf were 2 of those animals.”
- “Our group saw lots of gems in the rock and mineral room.”
- “We got to see 3 different kinds of whale skeletons. They were hanging from the ceiling.”
- “We saw glass flowers.”
- “We saw a giant turtle shell.”
- “We saw a skeleton of a kangaroo.”
- “We saw skeleton heads of different animals.”
- “We saw eggs from different animals that were all different sizes. The biggest egg comes from the Elephant Bird.”
- “We saw a lot of fish and sharks.”
- “We saw a jaguar.”
- “We learned about how the earth was formed.”
